If you have decided to install your ELF laminated
floor yourself, enjoy it! It is really very easy. You only need a few
basic tools and if you follow the instructions carefully, you will be
able to complete the project quickly and with great success. Remember,
you are not alone. CTM is always there to assist you with advice and
recommendations.
Tools you will need: •
Knee pads (it is so much easier on the knees!)
• Carpenter pencil
• Tape measure
• Mitre Saw
• Wood specific drill bits
• Buff tape
• Saw
• Spacers
In addition to the floorboards, you will need the following accessories to complete the project:
• PREMILAY (Remember, no PREMILAY or SOUND BLOCK means no guarantee!)
• SOUND BLOCK*
• Profiles for finishing (e.g. end rod, riser cover etc.)
• Skirting and/or quarter round
• Parquet sealants for finishing
• Laminated floor mop and replacement cover
• Cleaners – ELF stain remover and ELF daily cleaner
• Nails, panel pins & woodtille
* SOUND BLOCK is an optional fibre layer that dampens
sound when you walk on your laminated floor. It is great for upstairs
rooms!
Keep in mind that Elf laminated flooring can be installed on:
• All types of concrete base-floors
• Particle board base-floor constructions
• Fibre-board base-floor constructions
• Existing flooring surfaces such as linoleum, PVC and ceramic tiles.
It is not recommended to use ELF Laminated
flooring in any of the
following areas:
Bathrooms, Porches, Scullery, Sauna or any
area where there is a
lot of moisture present. If you would like to use these
