PRO CARE SEAL & SHINE is a water-based impregnating sealer formulated to seal and protect porous tiles while enhancing the colour and gloss. This durable sealer is easy to apply and suitable for interior and exterior applications.
DILUTION:
Use the bottle as supplied.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
a. Wait at least 3 days after installing and grouting the tiled surface before applying PRO CARE SEAL & SHINE.
b. Clean the surface by sweeping, vacuuming, or dusting and mask off any adjacent surfaces that need to be protected.
c. Use PRO CARE GROUT REMOVER to remove any tile adhesive or grout residues (provided this product is safe for use on the tile) and neutralize the surface with PRO CARE HEAVY DUTY CLEANER. Remove any oil or grease stains with PRO CARE HEAVY DUTY CLEANER or PRO CARE SCRUB.
d. Allow the cleaned surface to completely dry before applying the sealer (at least 2 hours).
PRODUCT APPLICATION:
- Apply PRO CARE SEAL & SHINE to a small area first, to ensure the product produces the required finish.
- Apply a liberal coat of PRO CARE SEAL & SHINE with a sheepskin applicator or lint free cloth, taking care to not let the product pool in surface depressions.
- Do not apply with paint rollers or sponges as these may cause bubbles to the treated surface.
- Leave the sealer to dry for 1 hour and inspect the surface.
- If the surface was high absorbent or if the required gloss has not been achieved, applying a second thin coat.
- The coverage of this product is dependent upon the porosity of the surface. As a guide 1Lt of PRO CARE SEAL & SHINE should treat 10m2.
PRECAUTIONS & LIMITATIONS:
a. Ensure that the above instructions are adhered to at all times and do not adulterate the product in any way as this could cause failure.
b. Do not apply to hot tiles in direct sunlight as this will dry the sealer too quickly.
c. Do not apply to damp tiles as this may inhibit the penetration of the sealer.
d. Rubber gloves should be used when applying this product. In the event of contamination, rinse skin under cold water. Consult a doctor if irritation persists.
e. Keep PRO CARE SEAL & SHINE away from pets and children.
f. Do not ingest.
